A girl from one of the kingdom’s southern islands comes to speak to Prince Zen about the birds who live there and the lord who’s hunting them.
This is a problem for Zen and he has to handle it in a delicate manner. He has to justify protecting the birds and he decides to do that by proving the birds would be useful to him directly. They test the efficiency of sending messages via these birds. And Shirayuki gets into trouble.
So I did and didn’t like this episode. This was a clever way for Zen to help this girl but this lord is clearly a creep. Also that these islands aren’t autonomous with their own lord is awkward to me too.
But I also like people standing up for other people and the birds are super pretty.
