We mostly get flashbacks in this episode they are focused on Yuliy’s childhood with his brother, then the vampire attack that changes everything, and how he met Willard the leader of their group.
Yuliy and Mikhail are adorable kids. Their mom is also really cool.
Also a common conflict in vampire fiction came up, can you kill a vampire if they used to be someone you love? I thought the conversation and Yuliy’s thoughts and anguish were presented really well.
But we haven’t learned a lot about the vampires of this world. There seem to be different types and I’m not sure how that is or why.
