We are introduced to Prince Izana, Zen’s older brother, and I’m a little conflicted.
This episode does end on a little cliffhanger so we might get some follow-up in the next installment. But right now I’m not sure what role Prince Izana plays. Is he an antagonist? He punishes Zen instead of the men at the fort because allegedly someone had to be. Then we have him hiding Shirayuki behind a curtain to listen to Zen be given a punishment. Then Izana reveals her presence and tells Zen he has to leave.
This feels like a dysfunctional relationship. But we’ll see what is presented next.
