Prince Zen decides to go check on a fort he’s in charge of because the reports have stopped coming in. When they arrive they find that most of the soldiers are sick with a mysterious illness. Shirayuki is called on to figure out what’s wrong and help them get better.
Shirayuki does overwork herself and Zen kind of tricks her into sleeping. One of the cutest moments, he gets her to close her eyes and then counts slowly to three and she’s asleep. He does get upset with her for not telling him that she’s tired but he ends by thanking her for all her hard work.
