Kousei has to play alone. At first he plays the song angrily but then he realizes that isn’t the way to go with this song. He reflects on how his mom played this arrangement, much more like a lullaby. We do get a bit more about his mom and Hiroko in flashbacks. I’m still not fond of his mom but I think it’s good to see that she was concerned about Kousei’s future.
