Summary: Nadesico starts an approach to the Midori station and it blows up. Akito still hasn’t recovered from the death in the previous episode and keeps watching the Gekiganger 3 scene where Joe dies. Megumi takes it hard that people died on the station. We also meet three more pilots who are actually assigned to the Nadesico as pilots.
The good: The new pilot introductions are fabulous. They are perfect for their personalities. Megumi and Akito’s connection also feels organic.
The less good: Having Akito watch the Gekiganger 3 scene over and over makes sense because that’s part of how he’s expressing and trying to cope with his grief. But it got kind of annoying after a while.
