Kousei is having trouble playing again so he starts winding down and then finally stops playing so he’s disqualified.
Then he pauses and starts playing again from the beginning.
And he allows himself the freedom to express some of his feelings for Kaori. He didn’t win the competition but he still earns a personal win. I like that.
