Her boss suspects that Retsuko is looking for a new job and he is not happy.
Once again I feel really bad for Retsuko. The shop that her friend wants to create won’t be a physical store and probably won’t be making very much money at first. She also gets criticized by her superior for making mistakes on work that it is technically the superior’s job to do. I don’t blame her for talking back. It’s the first time I think we’ve seen her crack at work. Usually she goes into the bathroom and sings metal when this stuff happens.
The best part was when Haida, visibly distressed, runs up to Retsuko and asks her if she’s had a baby; humorously showing the telephone game that is the company rumor mill.
