We go back to Mikado and Masaomi for a lot of this episode. There isn’t much plot, but there are a lot of character interactions.
Mikado becomes class rep and is developing a crush on a girl. He also meets Izaya, while debating about interfering in a bullying situation. Izaya then gets in a fight with Shizuo, the one throwing vending machines. Simon from the Russian sushi place interferes.
I did find the character interactions interesting. I think what’s compelling forward the most is that I don’t really know everything that’s going on and I’m eager to find out more stuff.
The highlight was the gangster boyfriend trying to dominance battle with Izaya. Much chuckling.
